ALL YOUR MATES CAN JOIN THE FUN

SHARE THE DISTANCE

Your team can be made up of mates sharing the distance or taking on the entire challenge.

This option allows for greater inclusion, with all your friends able to join the fun no matter what their level of fitness.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The aim is to get your TEAM to the finish line. It is not about every person having to walk the full distance.

  1. The course is divided into sections. As a team, you need to have a minimum of 3 people on course per section.
  2. Team members not walking for a section act as support crew members, while also resting to prepare for their next walking section.
  3. As long as you are able to walk approximately 10km at a speed of 4-5km/hr (or if you can walk continuously for around 2 hours), you will be able to join a team.
  4. Make sure you plan for everyone to cross the finish line together – there is a track that team members and support crew can take to meet up and walk the final 1km together.
  5. Always remember that the primary goal is to be having fun with your mates. This is not an event that focuses on elite athletes. Your team decides how to get to the finish line!

All team members receive a race bib, race buff, finisher medal and full access to training program, resources and dashboard to recognise their contribution to the team. This includes any mates who act as support crew only.
