OPTIONS FOR INDIVIDUAL RELAY TEAM MEMBERS AND TO PAY AS A TEAM

REGISTRATION – TWO OPTIONS

There are two options available for registering:

  1. Each team member registers and pays individually. All members pay the same percentage of the total cost.
  2. One team payment. The team captain can then determine what percentage each members pays based on their involvement in the challenge. For example – if you have 4 members who all want to walk 100km, the remaining 2 support crew members would pay less than the walking members.

TEAM MEMBERS REGISTERING INDIVIDUALLY

Individual relay team member pricing is based on the team fee being divided evenly between team members. (The entire team fee must be covered before teams can participate on course.)

SET YOUR TRAINING GOAL

Set yourself a goal for what walking distance you will accumulate while training for the Great Aussie Hike challenge.
Select from 300km, 500km, 1,000km or 2,000km or add your own goal in the other bar.

SIGN UP FORM

Enter your personal details and work through the Participant Declaration. It is very important to understand all the terms and conditions before accepting.

BUILD YOUR PROFILE

  • PROFILE NAME – the public name visible on your challenge dashboard
  • PROFILE & COVER PHOTO – upload now or can complete at a later date.
  • FUNDRAISING GOAL – this is not compulsory and there is no minimum amount required. Set from $0 to as high as you would like.
  • PROFILE PAGE URL – this is the link to your profile you can use to view your account throughout the training period.

START OR JOIN A TEAM

TEAM CAPTAIN – select START A TEAM and register your team name. Complete team profile (same steps as your own profile in step 3). Give this name to team mates so they can join.

TEAM MEMBER – select JOIN A TEAM and enter your team name.

MAKE PAYMENT

Finalise your registration by making payment with a credit card.
The fee from Raisely is not compulsory. Untick the box to opt out.

SET UP YOUR ACCOUNT

Check your inbox (including junk folder) to find your welcoming email. This will provide a link to your account so that you can access program resources and work through your training goals with your team mates.

For those people who are not yet ready to commit to the challenge but would like to get started on the challenge, we are now making this an option.

Prices do not include GST. Should we need to register in the future, prices will be adjusted accordingly. We reserve the right to change the sale dates at anytime without notice. When starting a new team, team captains accept responsibility to ensuring minimum team numbers are registered within 14 days of set up. Team captains accept liability for the outstanding team balance should this date pass.
*includes gondola ride for 4 teams members on course for section three (day one).
^100km teams accepted after Feb 4 by application only to ascertain base fitness levels of team members given the limited time to prepare.

NON RELAY TEAMS – REGISTER VIA TEAM PAYMENT

Pricing detailed above is for relay teams when time on course is evenly distributed, and hence the team fee is evenly divided.

If your team is planning on using a different configuration then the team fee would be divided differently. Example – 4 x 100km walkers and 2 x non walking support crew. Here the walkers would pay $265pp (early bird price) and support $35pp so that collectively the team fee is covered. The support crew fee covers them being a member of the event and therefore receiving participant pack (race buff, race bib, finisher medal); use of facilities, refreshments, first aid & allied health; administration & insurance costs; along with full access to program and GAH crew support.

Team captains need to pay for the team in full and get reimbursed accordingly from team members. Please email us directly to organise this.
