HOW TO REGISTER

Team captains will register and pay the team fee with (team members reimburse captain).

Divide up the team cost between team members based on how much time each person will spend on course. Those who plan on playing a support crew role only still receive a number of benefits (listed above), so should contribute to be part of the team.

BEFORE REGISTERING

Team captains will need the following information before they can register the team:

  1. Full name, mobile number and email address for each team member
  2. Team name
  3. What speed the team is aiming to walk at (this can be updated closer to the event)
  4. Whether your team plans on fundraising or not
  5. Written confirmation from each team member that s/he agrees to program waiver and team captain signing on his/her behalf

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE TEAM CHALLENGE HAS TO BE CANCELLED BECAUSE OF CoVID-19?

Firstly, the team challenge will NEVER become a virtual event. The whole purpose of the program is to complete the challenge as a team, and cross the finish line together.

We are in consultation with industry leaders who are monitoring the situation closely and part of the government round table discussions.

Given that:

  1. the challenge will occur entirely outdoors
  2. teams will start one at a time to maintain social distancing
  3. the number of teams we are registering have been reduced to meet limits of participants at Wellness Stops

current advice is that we continue to plan for March. If things change in the coming months, the challenge will be rescheduled. We already have other dates throughout 2021 booked out. When registering your team, please keep the following date booked out in your calendar so that you are available should the team challenge need to be moved.

May 14-15 and October 22-23

Remember with this type of event, there are other factors that may mean we have to re-schedule (like a bushfire, high speed winds, flooding), so we always have to prepare for multiple scenarios.

If after three attempts the team challenge is unable to go ahead, participants can either elect to transfer to the 2022 event at no charge or receive a 50% refund on program fees.
