PRICING STRUCTURE

The management team for The Great Aussie Hike consist of a small group of volunteers who are using their imposed ‘Covid downtime’ from the events, travel and fitness industries to develop this program to help with the mental wellbeing of our community during these challenging times.

The pricing structure has therefore been determined based on covering the costs incurred to run the event. This type of event is quite expensive in comparison to other sporting events, due to the length of time the event runs and also requiring multiple sites and staff across a 100km distance. In addition, we are restricted with participant numbers to adhere to COVID-19 safety plans.

We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all the individuals and organisations whose generosity have ensured that pricing could remain on par within the industry with no compulsory fundraising.

ALL team members will receive race bib, race buff, finisher medal, e-certificate, access to training program and partner benefits.

HOW TO REGISTER

Team captains will register and pay the team fee with (team members reimburse captain).

Divide up the team cost between team members based on how much time each person will spend on course. Those who plan on playing a support crew role only still receive a number of benefits (listed above), so should contribute to be part of the team.

BEFORE REGISTERING

Team captains will need the following information before they can register the team:

  1. Full name, mobile number and email address for each team member
  2. Team name
  3. What speed the team is aiming to walk at (this can be updated closer to the event)
  4. Whether your team plans on fundraising or not
  5. Written confirmation from each team member that s/he agrees to program waiver and team captain signing on his/her behalf
