In 2022 our amazing teams will journey around the stunning Mornington Peninsula in Victoria. We have developed an iconic and unique course just for our challenge – this is not a pre-established trail. Our focus has been on providing diverse scenery, magnificent views and a chance to explore some of the hidden treasures of the region.

DAY ONE sets off from Cape Schanck Lighthouse, winding around the coastline before joining the Two Bays Walking Track through the Mornington Peninsula National Park. Enjoy the view from Blue Range Estate Wines overlooking Port Phillip Bay before wandering through Arthurs Seat State Park and arriving at the base of the 304m granite hill.

We thought it was a little mean to get you to climb all the way back to the top, so our friends at Arthurs Seat Eagle will give you a lift! That’s right – jump on board a gondola and rest those legs while enjoying the spectacular view – golden beaches, Mornington & Bellarine Peninsulas and the twinkling glass towers of Melbourne far across the bay.

Enjoy the next Wellness Stop at the Summit before descending back down the reverse side. Make your way long the horse tracks to Main Ridge, finishing your day’s journey at Old Apple Shed. Time to enjoy a well deserved local wine or cider.

DAY TWO you are rewarded for your early start by getting to watch the sunrise over the Red Hill Rail Trail. Morning coffess at Merricks General Store before passing through the back streets of Balnarring Beach. A final stroll along the sand you will arrive at the magnificent Coolart Homestead for the first Wellness Stop of the day. Join the Western Port Bay Trail to Somers and Crib Point – the start line for the 30km teams.

Follow the path through the mangroves along The Esplanade track, pass Jack’s Beach and onto the boardwalk in Warringine Park. Cross into Hastings and the Ted Harris Walk before diverting across the Peninsula to Devilbend Reserve. The last section and finish precinct will be housed within this natural feature reserve – home to wildlife, waterbirds, native vegetation and grassy woodlands.

It’s going to be an amazing two days and we can’t wait to share this course with you.
